At the end of the ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to carry out operations in the Gaza Strip with greater force and its offensive will extend to the entire territory of the Palestinian enclave. This was stated this Monday by Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant.

In an intervention before the Israeli military, the minister maintained that when hostilities return, "[Israel's] strength will be greater and will take place throughout the Strip." "Now you have a few days, we will fight again, we will use the same amount of force and more," he said.

He added that soldiers have to remember that while they "organize, rest and investigate, the enemy [Hamas] is also doing the same." In this sense, he pointed out that, after the truce, the Israeli Army will attack the enclave with "bombs from the Air Force and, later, with tank and artillery shells, bulldozers and, finally, also with shots from infantry troops." .

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the ceasefire that began last Friday and was due to end this Monday. According to Diaa Rashwan, head of Egypt's State Information Service (SIS), extending the truce would include the release of 20 Israeli and 60 Palestinian hostages from Israeli prisons.
